Ceramics UK – a relaunch and a strong message

Mantec Group was fully represented today in Westminster, as the British Ceramic Confederation held a reception in Parliament to relaunch as Ceramics UK. Managing Director Andy Clark and Sales Director Mark Berrisford joined around 50 colleagues from our industry, as well as executives from industry bodies, civil servants from the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, 11 MPs and three peers from the House of Lords.

This was a significant moment in Ceramics UK’s history, and it was fitting that this could all take place at the heart of government, as there is a genuine hope that the importance of ceramics in the UK’s materials, innovation, research, and manufacturing spheres can be fully recognised by all those involved in future policy making.

As a manufacturer – through both Mantec Technical Ceramics and Doulton Water Filters – we felt it would be appropriate to leave a token of our participation, and so we presented our hosts with a ceramic spirits bottle and a filtered water bottle, both designed and decorated especially for the occasion.

Mantec was privileged to have been invited to send representatives to this important event, and we would like to thank all those involved in its planning and execution for their hard work. We were delighted to be part of a most successful day.
