Ultralite News - September 2014

18 September 2014

Mantec Technical Ceramics has announced that in addition to brand new products – launched just this month – it has also updated the background and technical information on all the thermal insulation products in the Ultralite™ family.

This information, fully illustrated with photos, schematics, test results and technical data tables, can now be viewed in the newly published Ultralite Advanced Solutions brochure. A new logo has also been created to coincide with this initiative.

Readers can see exactly how Mantec has exploited its patent pending engineering method to turn its microporous lightweight refractory aggregate into a modern, highly effective substitute for more traditional materials.

These old solutions, mostly to be found in primary hot face refractory linings and secondary back-up insulation, have been employed by the industry with little significant change for decades.

Ultralite completely changes performance levels with its highly porous open structure, uniform wall thickness and honeycomb microstructure. Savings on kiln car energy costs, for example, can be anything up to 40%.
